present the CAMPUSHABITAT5U, project at the 2011 Campus of International Excellence call for proposals, under the motto “Uniting in excellence, improving our habitat, revitalizing well-being”.
CAMPUSHABITAT5U coordinates and structures the entire territory of the Valencian Community because, in addition to all the Valencian public universities, this initiative also enjoys the participation of outstanding companies and business groups (clusters) in the sector of habitat and territory as well as the institutions and councils of the cities involved (Alicante, Elche, Valencia and Castellón). Furthermore, the Technology Institute Network (REDIT) plays a key role in the project, which has the full support of the public administrations of the autonomous regions and local administrations in the Valencian Community.
CAMPUSHABITAT5U is a unique project of excellence in Spain in the area of habitat and territory based on the interaction of various economic sectors and multiple disciplines. An advanced economy like that of the Valencian Community, whose attraction as a place to live or visit is one its greatest assets, can only compete by means of quality, differentiation, creativity, and brand image through the development of knowledge-building and innovative initiatives in this area.
The goal of CAMPUSHABITAT5U ris to revitalize and become a driver of a process of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth which is based on knowledge, innovation, creativity, sustainability, internationalization and interdisciplinarity, not only in the Valencian Community, but throughout the Mediterranean Arc region.
